Ribbed Loofah, also known as Luffa acutangula, is a tropical vine renowned for its unique ribbed fruits. Often used in Asian cuisine, the young loofah is edible and has a mild flavor, making it a popular ingredient in stir-fries and soups. Once mature and dried, the fibrous interior transforms into natural sponges, widely used for bathing and cleaning. The plant thrives in warm climates, requiring full sun and well-drained soil. With its dual purpose in cooking and household use, Ribbed Loofah is a valuable addition to any garden.
